Client wanted her current electric shower replacing with a Mira Vie 9.5 electric shower, which she had already purchased.

What we did:
Like with most planned plumbing maintenance, we were able to book the shower replacement in, to fit in with Mrs Morgan’s work and home life schedule, so it was scheduled for the most convenient time of Saturday afternoon.  On the day of the booking, the customer was given a courtesy call half an hour prior to arrival, as agreed, to advice on the arrival time.  As the engineer who was completing the replacement, had just been on a toilet unblocking, he had to change into his spare uniform, that is carried with him on the van, to ensure that he always turns up to the job, clean and tidy.  We do regular spot checks on all our engineers to ensure that they turn up for jobs in presentable YourRepair uniform.
Firstly, the engineer disconnected the power supply from the shower and then the water turned off in preparation to complete the replacement.  The engineer then proceeded to un-install the old shower unit. The new Mira shower unit was then correctly fitted in the same place, so not to cause any unsightly holes in the tiled area.  Our engineers are all very safety conscious when it comes to Gas Safety, and give extensive advice to our customers on the subject, the engineer was talking to Mrs Morgan about Gas Safety at her property, as she had no Carbon Monoxide Detectors at her home in Stafford, and it was advised by our engineer for her to consider having them installed by the boiler and the gas fire. She agreed for us to install them whilst we were at her property.

Outcome:
The customer was provided with a fixed cost upon booking for the shower replacement, so she was pleased that she didn’t have to have someone round to give her a price, and then arrange to come back and complete the job, this saved her time, which she is short of, as a busy working mother.  The customer was also grateful for the Gas Safe advice that we provided along with the CO2 detectors, as she has a young family at home.

What the problem was:Bathroom Installation in Stafford
Client had brought a new three piece bathroom suite, and wanted a like for like replacement. Client wanted us to supply the additional materials required to complete the install including new pipework etc.

What we provided:
Due to the size of this job, we firstly instructed one of our senior experienced bathroom installers in Stafford to do a full survey of the work required. We were then able to issue the customer with a labour cost to complete the work, which on this occasion was a one day labour cost for one plumber.  We then provided the customer with a quote for the work, and once he had agreed we booked it in with the same engineer, at the customer’s convenience.  The engineer arrived on site on the agreed day at 8am to begin the installation. The  old bathroom suite was removed and disposed of in the skip that the customer had arranged to be on site, and the suite was installed and plumbed in using the materials which we had on our stocked plumbers vans.  The area was cleaned and tidies in the bathroom prior to the engineer completing the job by 5.00pm the same day.

Outcome:
