What the problem was:
This customer had a problem with her Worcester Bosch Combi-boiler, the problem being that it kept losing pressure. A similar problem occurred a while ago due to a leaking radiator, the radiator was fixed but the boiler is once again losing pressure, and can find no visable leaks on any of the radiators.
What we did:
The problem with the boiler losing pressure was diagnosed as a pressure drop on the central heating system. There were no obvious leaks to the system, so a leak sealer solution was applied to the system as this will close and seal any potential leaks, and stopped the pressure dropping.
With any repairs we offer our customers a half price boiler service whilst we are on site. The customer’s boiler service was due the following month, so it made sense for her to book it in earlier to save money.
The boilers problem with losing pressure was fixed by repairing the central heating system, alongside a full boiler service being carried out ensuring safety and efficiency within the customers home. Dave, the engineer also advised the client on a solution to be able to control the boilers pressure from downstairs to make it easier for her, which she is considering in the future.

What the problem was:Worcester Bosch 28i combi boiler approximately 2 years old. Customer has reported that the boiler is on 0 pressure and the boiler has had a leak for about 4 days that has got gradually worse. It was a Saturday, and the customer had called several other local companies, but couldn’t get anyone to attend the same day.
What we provided:
We have engineers available all day on a Saturday, so we booked an appointment for the Saturday afternoon between 1pm and 5pm, and agreed that the engineer would call prior to arrival, as the customer needed to nip out. The engineer checked over the boiler and discovered lime scale had built up around the auto air valve, which had caused it to jam, and this had caused a leak from the top of the valve. The engineer advised that there was quite an extreme amount of scale to build up over a short period but it can happen in hard water areas. The engineer managed to un-jam the valve and re-pressurise the boiler, but advised that this was only a temporary fix, and due to the damage, would need to be replaced. As it was Saturday our local supplier couldn’t be contacted until Monday. So we told the customer that we would call her back on Monday morning, with a part cost. Our Customer Service team called the customer back once the engineer had confirmed the cost of the part, and the customer booked the repair for the following day, as we informed her that the part could be ordered on next day delivery. The engineer returned and installed the part, and checked the boiler to ensure that it was working as it should.
Our highly qualified and experienced boiler breakdown engineer established the problem and managed to provide a temporary fix over the weekend, so the at the customer wasn’t without heating or hot water. He then returned on Tuesday to complete the repair, and check that the boiler was working correctly and safely.
