What the problem was:
Reported a blocked sink in the kitchen which they had to tried to unblock themselves without success. Family and friends were arriving that evening due to a birthday dinner party.
What we did:

The plumber arrived at the customer’s home within 90 minutes of taking the booking. He unblocked the sink and ensured the area was left clean and tidy.

What the problem was:
The customer had a boiler breakdown; although she had central heating, she had no hot water. She had another company attend the previous day who claimed they would come and look at the boiler and diagnose it for free. However, on arrival the Gas Engineer demanded £120, which she gave him. He did something to the boiler which the customer wasn’t sure of, for approximately 10 minutes, and then left saying it was fixed, leaving no receipt for payment. As the boiler was still not working the customer tried to call the engineer back on his mobile, but he is not returning her calls. She has been without hot water for two days and needs the problem resolving in a timely manner.
What we provided:
Abbey, the Call Advisor, informed the customer of our pricing structure, and also that we pre-authorise payment, but do not take payment until work is complete and the customer has signed the engineers PDA to confirm they are happy with the work carried out.
The customer was reassured by our professional approach and an experience boiler breakdown heating engineer was despatched to solve the problem.
Diagnosis of the breakdown was a faulty 2 port valve which we carry in stock, in our fully stocked, reactive plumbers vans.
The two port valve was replaced and the heating system was checked to ensure it was working safety and effectively.
Radiator was repaired and reinstalled. Checked and tested the radiator to ensure no further leaks.
The customer’s boiler was repaired and she is now reassured that not all plumbers are the same.
Lesson learned, when it sounds too good to be true it normally is. It is so re-assuring dealing with a reputable company, knowing that there is someone will always answer my calls, and that the work is guaranteed. A refreshing change.
